Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Reeve, a platform that lets organizers create events and sell tickets, and lets attendees discover and register for those events. By using Reeve, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Reeve is

Reeve provides the tools to create an event page, share it, collect RSVPs, accept payment for paid tickets, and check attendees in at the door. Reeve is not the organizer of any event listed on the platform. Each event is created and run by its own organizer, who is solely responsible for it.

2. Organizer accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an organizer account and keep your login credentials secure. You’re responsible for everything that happens under your account, including the accuracy of your event listings, honoring the terms you set (such as your stated refund policy), and delivering the event as described.

3. Attendee registration

Attendees can register for free or paid events without creating an account. Providing an accurate name and email (and phone, if you choose to add one) is required so tickets and event updates can reach you. Your ticket QR code is your proof of registration. Keep it accessible for check-in.

4. Payments and fees

Paid tickets are processed by a third-party payment provider. Reeve does not store your card details. At checkout, an attendee pays the ticket price plus a Reeve booking fee (currently 2.5% of the ticket price) and a payment processing fee. The full amount, including both fees, is shown before you pay. Organizers receive the full ticket price they set: the booking fee and the processing fee are paid by the attendee on top and are not taken out of the organizer’s ticket price. Fees may change, and any change applies only to tickets sold after it takes effect. See our Refund Policy for how refunds work.

5. Organizer payouts

An organizer’s share of each paid ticket is paid to the bank account the organizer provides in their payout settings. Payouts follow the payment provider’s settlement schedule, which is usually the next business day after a payment and therefore usually before the event takes place. Reeve does not hold ticket money for organizers and cannot guarantee when a particular settlement will arrive. Organizers are responsible for the accuracy of their bank details and for any taxes on the money they receive.

6. Cancellations and refunds by organizers

Because organizers are usually paid before their event, they are responsible for the money they have received. If an organizer cancels an event, or changes it so much that attendees cannot reasonably attend (for example a different date or location), the organizer must refund the ticket price to every affected attendee in full and without delay.

If an organizer does not refund when required, or a refund is required by law or by the payment provider, Reeve may process the refund on the organizer’s behalf. The organizer agrees to reimburse Reeve for any amount refunded, any chargeback, and any related fees, and authorizes Reeve to recover those amounts from the organizer’s future payouts or by any other lawful means. Reeve may suspend an organizer’s ability to publish events or to receive payouts while a refund or dispute is unresolved.

7. Online events

For online events, the organizer provides their own meeting link (for example Zoom, Google Meet or YouTube) and is responsible for running the session. Reeve does not host, stream or record online events and is not responsible for the third-party service an organizer chooses. The join link is shown only to attendees with a confirmed ticket, shortly before the event starts. It is for your own use: do not share it publicly or with people who have not registered. Organizers must not put anything illegal, harmful or misleading in a join link or in joining instructions.

8. Prohibited use

  • Creating events for illegal activity, or events that are fraudulent or misleading.
  • Using another person’s payment details without authorization.
  • Attempting to interfere with or disrupt the platform’s normal operation.
  • Scraping or reselling attendee data collected through the platform.

9. Liability

Reeve is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep the platform reliable, but we’re not liable for losses arising from an organizer’s event being cancelled, changed, or run poorly. Those are between the organizer and their attendees, subject to section 6. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the platform itself is limited to the fees, if any, Reeve charged for the transaction in question.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of Reeve after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
